Read to Rescued Animals

Starting August 29, the last Tuesday of each month, from 3:30-4:30 p.m., the Cesar Chavez Central Library presents Read to Rescued Animals from the Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary.   Young ones may be hesitant to read aloud to an adult, but feathered and furry friends make adorable book buddies. Read to and pet rescued animals. Bring your favorite book or borrow one of the library’s. First come, first served. Sign up at the Children’s desk when you arrive to meet these cute critters in a fun-filled reading hour. Also, free, all-day parking is available at the lot located across from the library on Oak and Center streets.

This free program is provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Stockton Library.  The Cesar Chavez Central Library is a part of the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library and is located at 605 N. El Dorado St. in Stockton.  For more information, call (209) 937-8221 or (866) 805-7323. Visit the Library’s website at www.ssjcpl.org and fan or follow us on twitter.com/ssjcpl and facebook.com/ssjcpl.
